Justin Vaughn, Board Chairman

Justin Vaughn is a civic leader and philanthropist in Douglas County.  A firm believer in supporting charitable and community causes, Justin currently serves as the Chair for the Douglas County Community Foundation.  He also serves on the boards of Make-A-Wish Colorado and Colorado Companies to Watch.  He previously served on the boards for the Highlands Ranch Chamber of Commerce (Chair), Rotary (President), United Way (branch founder), A.R.C., Douglas County Business Alliance, Hide in Plain Slight, Crossroads Youth Services, the Verde Valley Fair Association, Buena Vista Children’s Services and the Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce, where he was named Volunteer of the Year.  In 2007, Justin was chosen as Philanthropist of the Year in his county. 

Justin also owns the Vaughn Law Offices and has served as an attorney for almost thirty years.  His practice primarily involves entrepreneurial services and nonprofit representation.  Justin is a frequent public speaker on business planning and strategies, mergers and acquisitions, nonprofit issues, business governance, employee claims, and estate planning for business owners.  He establishes corporate structures, advises for growth and expansion, places appropriate legal protections, and engages in the sale and acquisition of closely held business interests.  A successful litigator and transaction attorney, Justin prides himself on his commitment to his clients and the legal profession as a whole. His purpose is to create an honest and fair environment so that business owners can succeed.

Justin has been voted Best of the Best among attorneys 27 times in Colorado and Arizona.  He has written legislation and published law articles and legal treatise chapters.  Justin has founded two free legal clinics, served as a local bar association chair, and served as a Juvenile Court Diversion Program Judge. 

Justin and his wife, Anita, have a blended family of nine children. Justin has been an active member in church activities and has acted and sung in theatrical productions.  He has his pilot’s license, a rescue scuba certification, and a motorcycle endorsement.  Justin has won a state championship in quad motocross racing, has competed in triathlons, and runs marathons.  If you do not find him in the office or the boardroom, you will likely find him running the trails in beautiful Douglas County, Colorado.
