Employment Experience

FirstBank Holding Company, January 1986 to February 2016

Hired in 1986 as a Management Trainee for FirstBank in Lakewood, Colorado.  Worked for seven years at FirstBank of  Arapahoe County, and then transferred to FirstBank of Colorado.  Promoted in 1999 to President of FirstBank of Douglas County, which encompasses Castle Rock and Parker.

Education Background

University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI

Earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University in May 1985.

University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI

Earned a graduate degree from this University’s School of Banking.

Volunteer Activities

Castle Rock Economic Development Council

I am currently Chair of this organization’s Board of Directors.  The mission of this group is to promote economic opportunities for Castle Rock and the surrounding areas.  I also represent the organization in the Castle Rock Economic Partnership.

Douglas County Housing Partnership

I currently am Chair of the Board for this organization.  This group’s mission is to develop and manage affordable housing in Douglas County, Lone Tree, Castle Rock, and Parker.

Douglas County Educational Foundation

I serve on the Board for this organization, whose mission is to enrich the education for students of Douglas County School District.

Front Range Theater Company

I serve on the Board of this organization, whose mission is to find a permanent home for the Arts and Acting community of Castle Rock.

Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver

Served on the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee for this organization.  This organization’s primary mission is to provide affordable housing units for low-income families throughout the Denver Metropolitan Area.

West Chamber Serving Jefferson County

Served on this Chamber’s Board of Directors for a number of years while working in Lakewood, CO.

Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce

I served on this organization’s Board for a number of years, and have won both Volunteer of the Year and Citizen of the Year awards.  Additionally, I chaired the organization’s Governmental Issues Committee.


I am a resident of Castle Pines North, where I have lived for the past 13 years with my wife Tanya, and our two children, Sydney (19) and Keegan (15).  In my spare time I like to golf, garden, read, and binge-watch various television shows.
