DCCF has expanded the idea of Heroes and that they come in many forms. Some respond to emergencies, protect our communities, or serve our nation. Others quietly make a lasting difference through compassion, service, leadership, and generosity. A hero is someone who inspires others through courage, integrity and a willingness to put the needs of others before their own. While they rarely seek recognition, the Douglas County Community Foundation believes their impact deserves to be celebrated.

The Theme: The Human Effect in the Age of AI is to embrace that while all of our partners and heroes utilize AI and new technology in their service to Douglas County, the human effect they bring can never be replaced.

Connectivity Hour: The evening starts greeted with a glass of champagne and a chance to explore the vehicles, helicopters, and planes of our Hero partners. Grab a drink from one of our open bars and check out our curated silent auction items.

The Evening: Bringing together County politicians, leaders, and business owners, the evening of philanthropy is dedicated to honoring our Hero Awardees and fundraising for the DCCF legacy of impact in Douglas County. There are many ways to participate; Heads or Tails, Live Auction, and Paddle Raise.

Every dollar raised September 12th means more help for our Douglas County organizations and their causes, and support of our Mission. DCCF’s Mission is to provide leadership and responsible stewardship of philanthropic resources to strengthen our community and enrich the lives of every resident in Douglas County. We strive to cultivate a community where people elevate one another and have the resources and support to live a healthy, engaged, and fulfilled life. When you support DCCF, you are responsible for helping us manage philanthropic contributions, maintain agile funds and serve as a conduit in emergencies, inspire local giving, and provide resources and support to local nonprofit organizations serving the needs within our community.
