Mike Dell’Orfano
Mike Dell’Orfano is the Chief Government Affairs Officer with South Metro Fire Rescue. He has enjoyed 31 years in the fire service, serving in roles from paid-call firefighter to fire marshal to deputy fire chief, with fire agencies in California, Massachusetts, and Colorado. He has an M.S. in Fire Protection Engineering, a B.A. in Math, is a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program, and has been awarded Chief Fire Officer Designation.
Mike was a Governor-appointee to the Colorado State Electrical Board, the chair of the Colorado Fire Sprinkler Coalition, and a member of the Douglas County Physical School Safety and Protection Funding Committee. He is currently a member of the Castle Pines Community Excellence Group and is an elected board member of the Tallyn’s Reach Metropolitan District.
Mike is married with two kids, with his daughter off to college this year and son achieving a spot on the varsity football team. The snow and beautiful mountains brought our family to Colorado and we have enjoyed the skiing, running, camping, hiking, shopping, and playing with our golden retriever ever since.
