When our community needs help the most, let’s make sure help is already waiting.

Fire danger is high across our community, and our firefighters and first responders have already responded to 12 fires this season. Their dedication reminds us that while we all hope for the best, preparation matters.

You can do your part to help prevent wildfires by remaining vigilant, following fire restrictions, and reporting anything suspicious. Small actions can make a big difference.

When emergencies happen, our community is strongest when we stand together. The Douglas County Community Foundation’s Community Emergency Relief Fund is here to provide immediate support when disaster strikes, helping meet urgent needs that arise in the aftermath of fires and other emergencies.

When our community needs help the most, let’s make sure help is already waiting. Donate today. 100% of gifts made go directly to support our partners in the community doing the work. Douglas County Community Foundation in the meantime, will be deploying $20,000 worth of grants to support fire and emergency efforts already being made this year by our government agency partners and nonprofits.
